Stacy has told news.com.au that it took six weeks for Matty J to notice her. “I was, kind of, done,” she says. “You get to that point – and by this time it had been six weeks, and I’d been sitting around the house, not working, not getting any dates, where I was like, ‘what’s the point?’”
But sparks very obviously flew on their long-awaited single date last night, with Matty J revealing to camera, “The more I think about it, Elise and I are just so similar.”
“When he said, ‘Sorry I have overlooked you’ that caught me by surprise,” Elise says. “I felt that he was very genuine. I was happy that he said, “this is where my head’s at’ because it could so easily have gone the other way. He could have said, ‘nup, I’m not into it’”.
As Matty J loves to remind us, his own (albeit short-lived) love affair with Georgia Love was also a slow-burn, with weeks passing before he scored a single date.
