Elly Miles’ Ex-Boyfriend Was Cast On ‘The Bachelorette’ And We Have Questions

The Bachie star reportedly asked producers to cast him 👀

Considering The Bachelorette premiere is just one day away, it’s unsurprising that some serious tea about the upcoming series, starring sisters Elly and Becky Miles, is beginning to make the rounds online.

According to the So Dramatic! podcast, which has become the go-to place for all Bachie rumours, not only does Elly’s ex-boyfriend Joe Woodbury appear on the franchise, but he’s already pegged as this year’s frontrunner.

“Elly and Joe dated for a couple of months just before The Bachelorette,” host Megan Pustetto claimed, adding, “They had been on and off for a few months, they were dating in Newcastle right up until she moved to Bondi. They then continued dating casually when she was living in Bondi and she would travel back and forth between the two.”

According to Pustetto, the pair’s inner circle even knew about the relationship, claiming it was a “legit thing.”

“They would hang out whenever she was in Newcastle, it was a legit thing, they were sleeping together, they were going on dates. It wasn’t a secret at all, all their inner circle knew about it,” the host explains.

Pustetto even goes as far as to suggest the former Bachelor star asked producers to cast Joe.

“It wasn’t a surprise at all, there was some acting involved because Elly actually requested that Joe be cast for the show,” she said.

It’s not too hard to believe So Dramatic’s claims, with the 25-year-old professional rugby player and Bachelorette star both Newcastle natives. Eagle-eyed fans even discovered that Elly follows Joe on Instagram and they have exchanged friendly comments in the past.

Rumours of the pair knowing each other also haven’t been denied, with Network 10 even revealing that they have met in one of the recent promos.

Here’s hoping they give us the real scoop on what went down between the two.

The Bachelorette premieres on Wednesday, October 7 at 7.30pm on Network 10.
