When it comes to this season of The Bachelorette Australia, there’s been a seemingly endless stream of controversial behaviour by some of the men in the house.
By this stage, the onslaught of dramatic exits—ahem, Pascal—no longer comes as a shock. And James’ elimination on last night’s episode was no different.
Having not received a rose, James Boggia left the mansion after Elly Miles saw a completely different side to the professional wakeboarder at “the last supper” style dinner party.
But just as we expected, there was actually much more drama—that was completely cut from the show—which pushed the Miles sister to send him home.
According to The Wash, an insider, who was apparently there during the show’s filming, told the publication:
“James was the least popular guy in the mansion among the others, and he always tried to dominate what was happening and take control—which rubbed everyone else up the wrong way.”
Continuing, the source explained how the other fellas in the house weren’t happy about his and Elly’s relationship developing. “After Elly’s single date with him, where they got hammered and then made out in the pool, a lot of the guys actually went off her. They couldn’t believe Elly was falling for a guy like James.”
“It got to the point where one guy actually said to Elly, ‘If you’re going to smash a bottle of Fireball and then kiss James, you aren’t the girl for me’—but this was cut from the show,” the source admitted.
“That comment broke her heart and really opened her eyes, which is when she started to see James in a different light. When it all started to kick off at the dinner party, she’d just had enough and wanted him gone.”
The dinner party in question took place on last night’s episode of The Bachelorette, and showed James dramatically storming out of the event after getting jealous over Elly’s history with Joe Woodbury.
During a Q&A session with the Miles sisters, viewers could see James’ emotions become completely uncontrollable as Joe went into detail about his romantic past with her.
When Joe was questioned about his and Elly’s connection after their apparent “weekend away” prior to the show, he replied:
“It was that weekend. Yeah, it was that weekend…” he said. At this stage, anyone could see that James was becoming uncomfortable, which led Becky to call him out on his behaviour.
As the intensity of the moment kept rising, James turned to co-star Frazer Neale and said he was going to leave the table. Leaving Elly extremely unimpressed with his behaviour and called it a “red flag” for her, ultimately sending James home.
And while eliminations predictions remain on track, we can only wait and see who wins the Miles’ sisters hearts at the end.
