Apparently There’s Another Reason Why Pascal Left ‘The Bachelorette’ And It’s Not What You Think

The producers supposedly played a big role in his departure

It’s safe to say that Pascal Wallace’s dramatic exit from The Bachelorette mansion left many both in shock and extremely satisfied.

In last night’s episode, the fellas were spied on by Elly and Becky’s loved ones to see if any of ‘the boys’ weren’t legitimate in their affections. And as they expected, one man stood out and it happened to be Pascal.

While his crude behaviour was rather surprising—considering he had little to no screen-time prior—what did floor fans was Elly and Becky’s decision to ask Pascal to leave the show.

And while many were pleased to see the 33-year-old leave, the real reason why he left was apparently completely different.

Reported by The Wash on October 15, an insider source came forward to reveal the real reason why Pascal left, saying that he was unknowingly pushed into the “trouble maker” role by producers, and the entire storyline was contrived before he had the chance to quit.

“Pascal was planning on quitting alongside Harry [Harris] as he felt nothing for Elly or Becky, but producers heard whispers about this before he was able to. It’d have been too embarrassing to have three guys walk after Ab [Sow],” the source revealed. “So at first they turned the other guys against him—which then got the ball rolling for all that followed.”

The source continued, saying: “Everything started when some of the guys ordered cigarettes on their weekly shopping budget, and Pascal laughed that he wondered what Elly and Becky would think about them secretly smoking around the mansion.”

Rumour has it, the producer then tried to convince Pascal to expose the men who were smoking to the sisters, and while he initially didn’t want to, he eventually agreed as he was already planning on leaving.

Following these rumours, Pascal took to his personal Instagram account to share a number of videos where he explained his side of the story and confirmed what the insider source had admitted.

According to Pascal, the producer told the other men that Pascal was going to expose their smoking habits to Elly and Becky which led to the other contestants “having it out for him” and creating their own plan to tarnish his name before he left.

“Ahhhh what an edit, I’m an easy target what can i say, not who I am. Thanks for the experience @channel10au and sorry to the girls if what I apparently said made you feel anything negative, never my intention,” his caption read. “Spread love not hate ✌️🙏🏽 good luck, hope you both find love @ellymiles and @happylittlebeckymite

“Some of the guys then dobbed Pascal into the sisters for ‘trash talking’ them,” the source revealed. “But he mostly just made a couple of jokes with everybody else, that were then taken completely out of context and blown into this huge thing”. The latter being apparently why there was no video footage of his comments being made.

While there has been no confirmation to his side of the story, either way, the toxic masculinity and disgusting comments that were made about both Elly and Becky were and continue to be unacceptable.

The Bachelorette Australia airs Wednesday and Thursdays at 7:30pm on Network 10.
