Less than 48-hours since the finale of The Bachelorette aired, rumours that Sophie Monk and her winner Stu Laundy had already broken-up started swirling.
Following an intense day of interviews, the reality TV couple was photographed having a heated discussion before their appearance on The Project.
KIIS FM’s Kate and Hughesy spoke to Sophie and Stu on Friday before Kate seemingly confirmed the split, sharing a screenshot of The Project interview with the caption, “She hates him.”
Kate also included the hashtags #PoorSophie and #ItsDone.
Meshel, who was co-hosting the current affairs show, reposted the Instagram with the caption, “Thank God for @katelangbroek.”
It was also rumoured ‘playboy’ Stu was spotted on a date with a Sydney socialite before the Bachelorette finale even aired.
Following the speculation, Sophie took to Instagram to share a hilarious Instagram video to debunk the rumours.
An older fan, who addressed Sophie and Stu while they were out for lunch, speaks straight to the camera, saying: “I just read on my Facebook that it says that you and Stu are not together anymore, and I’d like to verify that you are. I’ve seen the way you’re behaving.”
Stu interjects, saying, “Is it inappropriate, is that what you’re saying?”
“No, I think it’s inappropriate what they’re saying,” Jan retorts, before saying, “Good on ya. “Go for it.”
So, there you have it: Sophie and Stu are still together – or at least, maintaining they are.
