Yet to be confirmed by Netflix, the show creators will apparently only include Middleton in the series if they can “find the right candidate” as “she’s not necessarily a crucial part of the storyline”, as per The Sun.
Last month, a casting call notice was shared by Netflix themselves, advertising for actors to be cast as Prince William, from ages 16 to 21, and Prince Harry, from ages 16 to 20. According to the notice, no prior acting experience is required, with filming set to begin in August 2022.
The Crown's fifth season of the royal drama is set to hit our screens later this year, and will follow the royal family through the year of 1992. While there may seem to be nothing special about it, the Queen declared that year to be an "annus horribilis" (which is Latin for "horrible year"). During that time, three of her four children were separated from their spouses and a horrific fire took hold of Windsor Castle.
And while the show's fifth season was set to be its last, creators ended up changing their minds and bringing back the show for a sixth (and sadly, final) season.
