The Crown has reportedly found its Prince Andrew with newcomer Tom Byrne set to take on the royal role in season four of the hit drama.

A fairly new name in the business, the 25-year-old British starlet – a graduate of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School – appeared on fellow Netflix series Black Mirror and has performed on behalf of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
The upcoming season of The Crown will take viewers back to the 1970s and 1980s with the Queen’s second son dating Koo Stark before falling in love and eventually wedding Sarah Ferguson at Westminster Abbey in 1986.
The series will also follow the 60-year-old father-of-two as he joins the Royal Navy in 1978 and serves the Falklands War.
Byrne will be in good company too with fellow newcomers, Emma Corrin (Princess Diana) and Gillian Anderson (Margaret Thatcher), also joining the cast.
Corrin’s debut is particularly one for fans to look forward to, as she has been widely photographed recreating scenes from Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ 1983 royal tour of Australia to an appearance at the Barnado’s Champion Children Awards.
But Prince Andrew’s casting has come amidst Buckingham Palace turmoil after the royal stepped down in November of last year following his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
It’s widely anticipated that the next time the public will see Prince Andrew is at his eldest daughter Princess Beatrice’s forthcoming wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on May 29.
