You Won't Believe How Much The 'Game Of Thrones' Cast Has Changed Since Season One

In the epic run-up to the Game of Thrones finale, our obsession with the record-breaking HBO series has skyrocketed. While GOT's millions of fans are focused on who will sit on the Iron Throne - catch up on the most popular theories right here - we're taking a moment to revisit where it all began. That is before Maise Williams became a total badass and when Sophie Turner wasn't engaged to a Jonas. For the uninitiated, the pilot was filmed back in 2009 which means some of the younger cast has grown up right before our eyes.

Before we (finally) learn the fate of Jon Snow, join us in looking back at all our favourites and seeing just how much things have changed since season one.

Maisie Williams (Arya Stark)

Before Arya became a king-slaying heroine she was just our Maise. Starting out as just a tiny 12-year-old. Nowadays, she's a picture at Paris fashion week with her BFF Sophie and dating Ollie Jackson.

Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark)

A major hair colour change and a new last name - she's legally now called, Sophie Belinda Jonas - the Lady of Winterfell has had an incredible transformation over the last decade. Sophie and Joe Jonas frontman made it official with a surprise wedding in Vegas.

Kit Harrington (Jon Snow)

When we first met Jon Snow, Kit Harington was a 23-year-old fresh face who just wanted to be accepted into the Stark family. The 33-year-old is married to his on-screen love interest from season three Rose Leslie (Ygritte).

Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark)

That angelic looking 11-year-old from season one is now all grown-up. Bran's transformation has been one of the most dramatic on and off the screen.

Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen)

Since making her debut as fresh-faced 22-year-old Emilia hardly changed over the last ten years. Yet, the Mother of Dragons has been through her fair share of firestorms (and blonde wigs).

Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister)

It's hard to tell which photo of Lena is from season one. The actress - who earnt upwards of $50,000 USD for standing on a balcony and drinking wine throughout most of the final season - looks as gorgeous as ever.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister)

Did you know that Danish actor Coster-Waldau refuses to let his two daughters, Philippa and Safina, watch the show? Today, the 48-year-old might be more of a silver fox than a golden lion but he's still a heartthrob.

Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister)

Dinklage was nominated for Emmys seven times for his role as ridiculed royal Tyrion Lannister, and he nabbed three wins. He's also welcomed two daughters with his wife since the show premiered.

John Bradley (Samwell Tarly)

Best friend to Jon Snow since the beginning, sometimes it's hard to believe Samwell has lived on through so many battles but his heart of gold and book smarts make Bradley, 30, a fan favourite.
