First, we heard the thrilling news from Elisabeth Moss that The Handmaid's Tale is going to be “even more balls to the wall” in its second season. Then, we saw the trailer for Emmy-award winning drama and believed the hype. And now, a new cast member has been announced for The Handmaid’s Tale season two and our excitement levels have exceeded what we thought was humanly possible.
Bradley Whitford, the acting veteran known for his work on The West Wing and his excellent recent performances in Get Out and The Post, will join the Hulu series as Commander Joseph Lawrence in a recurring role.
As Deadline reports, Whitford will play the architect of Gilead’s economy, whose “sly humour and flashes of kindness make him a confusing, mysterious presence for his newest Handmaid”.
