Episode seven explored the possibility of getting Nichole back to Serena Joy (Yvonne Strahovski) and Gileadean law could have her sent back. Commanders and wives are currently attempting to impose a law that means all criminals must return for justice, no matter how heinous it would be.

Reddit user CommanderMayDay shared their theory on Emily Malek’s death.

They wrote, “Commander Stabler talks Fred into leaving Nichole in Canada as leverage. Emily confesses to crimes in Gilead. So instead of trying to get Nichole back first, Gilead asks for extradition on criminals, first.

“Don’t know how it will play out but I think Emily gets word she’s being deported and then…I’m not sure she makes it.”

As for the fate of “Offred” June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss), Nick Blaine (Max Minghella), Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd), Luke Bankole (O.T. Fagbenle) and Commander Waterford (Joseph Fiennes), viewers will have to wait until the end of season to find out.
