Help! Bra shopping is a nightmare. What are your top tips?

  1. You must spend time to try a bra on. Your body shape and size can change through the month as well as through the years, so you should not presume you would always be wearing the same bra size forever.
  2. Get fitted by an experienced bra advisor. At Triumph we have expert bra fitters that will discuss with you the bras that suit your shape, how to put on a bra correctly and ensure that the bra is correctly fitted to fulfil your own personal needs. Then, even if you buy a Triumph bra from the website, you have a good understanding of how it should fit when you are trying it on at home.
  3. Ensure you have a wardrobe of bras for every activity in your life because every bra is designed differently to suit its function. A Triaction Sports bra has breathable cups. There are anti-rub wider straps to our signature Florale bra fit.

What’s a myth that women believe about bras?

A common misconception is that a bra is held up by the straps. A bra should fit snugly enough around the body so that the straps can be dropped off the shoulder and the bra stays put. The straps just offer the function to give finer adjustment specifically for your body length and silhouette.

Amourette

I’m a bit scared that a moulded bra will make me look like a 1950s pin-up.

Moulded, seamless cups mould to your exact breast shape by the warmth of your body. So when you first put on your bra you may not fill it completely but with some body warmth it soon gives you a perfect natural rounded shape.

What are some of the decorative details to look out for that many of us overlook?

Beautiful straps on a bra can make all the difference. For our Florale Collection we extended the embroideries and lace up the bra strap to create and enhance the premium look and feel.

But come on, even the best bra is still a bit of a pain, isn’t it?

No.  When you find the right bra, you need to ‘feel good’. This may sound obvious but many women put up with discomfort from their bras because they think that’s the best they can get.
