Netflix's New Series 'The Politician' Is Seriously Crazy, And You Can't Miss It

As soon as Ryan Murphy's name is attached to a project, it doesn't take much persuasion to get on board. Murphy is the creator of arguably two of the most successful television shows in history - Glee and American Horror Story. Add in the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Platt and some exceptionally well-written satire of some of the world's most insane stories, and you've got yourself a binge-worthy, can't miss series.

Netflix's The Politician is a wild ride, described by many as simply "batshit crazy". But it's in that chaos that Murphy finds magic. There's sex, gender fluidity, depression, suicide and Munchausen by proxy (seriously), and of course, politics.
For those that have yet to hear anything about the series: Payton Hobart (Ben Platt) is a wealthy high school student in Santa Barbara running for student body president, on a mission to eventually become President of the United States. In addition to Platt, Lucy Boynton (queen of experimental beauty), Gwyneth Paltrow, Zoey Deutch, David Corenswet, Julia Schlaepfer, Laura Dreyfuss, Theo Germaine, Rahne Jones, and Jessica Lange star.
