These Two Absolutely Fabulous Grannies Were Kicked Out Of The Cinema For ‘Laughing Too Much’

Sorry not sorry

If you’re looking for proof that Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie is absolutely hilarious, here it is: Two ‘raucous grannies’ were kicked out of a screening in London after laughing too hard.

The pair couldn’t contain themselves – and why should they? It’s a comedy for Pete’s sake.

60-year-old Cindy Amass and 59-year-old Jacqueline Cox – who have been likened to a real life Patsie and Eddie – told the Mirror that management of the Islington Vue cinema hid in the corner before asking them to stop laughing.

“The manager said we had to laugh on the inside,” Cox said. “I said, ‘What the hell does that mean?’ That just made us laugh even more.”

Even after a warning, the two grannies couldn’t keep it together… so they were ejected from the theatre.

“I just couldn’t believe it, it’s a hilarious film. We’d grown up watching them and were really looking forward to it.”

Turns out, they weren’t the only ones to experience the wrath of cinema management. “There were two young men in front of us they also asked to leave. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, I don’t know what their problem was,” Cox continued.

The uptick? Well, in true Ab Fab style, Amass and Cox didn’t let the incident get them down. All four evictees pulled up their socks, collected their full-refunds and headed to a nearby bar for a well-earned drink.
