Meghan Markle’s Father Reportedly Faked Those Paparazzi Photos

This is awkward

When photos surfaced of Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, reading a book about Great Britain in a Starbucks, the world loved them. There he was, reading up on the country whose royal family his daughter was about to marry into.

But now, it appears those images – alongside a slew of others – were faked. The Daily Mail has evidence that Mr Markle arrived at the café with a known paparazzi photographer in tow, who worked with him to get the ‘candid’ shots that could then be sold on.

They’ve also found video footage of Mr Markle arriving at an internet café with the same photographer, Jeff Rayner, to take photos of him reading news about his daughter and Prince Harry.

The news comes after the Palace confirms that Mr Markle will walk his daughter down the aisle.

“Ms Markle feels it’s very important to her that both her parents are part of the day,” Prince Harry’s communications secretary Jason Knauf said. “[She] is delighted to have her parents by her side on this important and happy occasion.”

While Prince Harry has already met his future mother-in-law, it will be the first time he’s met his future father-in-law.
