“‘Vision & Virtuosity’ celebrates the House’s most defining moments, showcases the incredible collection of archives and exemplifies why Tiffany & Co. is such an iconic brand,” said Alexandre Arnault, Executive Vice President of Product & Communications in a press release.
This retrospective collection is an ode to high jewellery—specifically the rare diamonds that Tiffany has become synonyms with.
The exhibition will be divided into seven chapters that cover everything from Charles Lewis Tiffany’s legacy, a celebration of Elsa Peretti and Jean Schlumberger’s creativity and an entire floor dedicated to Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Lovers of Holly Golightly will be pleased to learn that the exhibition will showcase many rare novelties and sentimental props from the iconic 1961 film.
Not only will the original script be on display, but WWD has also reported that Audrey Hepburn’s acclaimed Givenchy column dress will also be featured in the gallery. We are besotted already.
La pièce de résistance? Tiffany’s legendary 128.54-carat Tiffany Diamond, of course. The famed yellow diamond indisputably sits in a league of its own as the lavish jewel in Tiffany’s crown.
The Tiffany Diamond is truly one of the most exclusive pieces of jewellery in circulation, with only five women ever having the honour of wearing the creation. Audrey Hepburn, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé are counted amongst the rare few, and we’re considering this object as a celebrity itself. Alas, it won’t be signing autographs but a picture will suffice.
Of course, there is no better end to a day at the museum than a trip via the gift shop. Here, indulge in an accompanying 160-page catalogue from renowned luxury fashion publisher Assouline.
Featuring a foreword from the late André Leon Talley, the exhibition’s highlights along with work from influential visionaries like Paloma Piccaso will be included.
The exhibition will run from June 10, 2022 through to August 19, 2022, enough time to go twice or even ten times—as many as your heart desires.
