Fans of the mega-popular teen romance film To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before can now rejoice because not only has the sequel begun filming, it now officially has a release date. Stars of the series Lana Condor and Noah Centineo have confirmed production for the new film, and Netflix has revealed it will premiere on Valentine’s Day 2020. The streaming service has also finally graced us with a first look – and prepare to swoon over the newest pics.

Condor shared a shot of herself and co-star Noah Centineo in the new movie on Instagram. She captioned the still, “Here we go my loves! First look @ To All The Boys: P.S I Still Love You, premiering February 12th on @netflix. WHO IS READY?! 💌 #psistillloveyou.” Entertainment Weekly released exclusive photos from the forthcoming sequel, which follows Condor and Centineo’s characters, Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky, as they embark on a real relationship.
TATBILB’s sequel was officially announced at the end of December 2018. In a mini clip titled “Lana’s Christmas List,” Condor and Centineo did a FaceTime call where they drafted up a new contract like their characters did in the film.
Condor told fans, “I am so excited it is officially official,” and Centineo chimed in, yelling, “Bring on the sequel.”
What Will The Story Be?
The original story was based on Jenny Han’s 2014 novel of the same name. The first film followed teenagers Lara Jean Covey (played by Lana Condor), who is secretly in love with her sister’s boyfriend Josh (Israel Broussard). As a way of coping with her intense crush, Lara Jean writes Josh a gushing love letter, which she hides in a blue box in her cupboard, never to be opened – alongside four other letters to the four other crushes she’s had over the years. In true rom-com fashion, the letters are mailed out. And a mortified Lara Jean pretends to date her schoolyard crush Peter to avoid having to confront her sister’s boyfriend.
In the second film, a love triangle between Peter Kavinsky, Lara Jean Covey, and John Ambrose.
Condor said during The Hollywood Reporter‘s TV Talks Panel in January that even she’s conflicted about the love triangle. “It’s upsetting to me because I’m like: Lara Jean and Peter should be together forever!” she started. “But I’m not really in a place to be so put upon, to say, ‘I have to be with another guy.’ I think Noah is really excited because he wants more drama and conflict. I guess, so do I.”
Who Will Play John Ambrose McClaren?
The actor playing John Ambrose is yet to be announced. “I don’t know who’s going to play John Ambrose,” Condor told Cosmopolitan US. “But I do know that we’re looking long and hard into someone who can match Noah’s charm and amazingness, which is very difficult…Whoever we bring in is going to do a great job and I think people are going to be very conflicted.”
When Will To All The Boys Sequel Be Released?
The film will be released on Valentine’s Day 2020. So, don’t make any plans!
