Tommy Hilfiger Announces New Line Specifically For Disabled People

So. Much. Yes.

Tommy Hilfiger has taken a huge step towards a fully inclusive fashion industry, announcing plans to design a line specifically for disabled people.

Building on the success of their first adaptive line for children back in spring 2016, designer Tommy Hilfiger announced this week plans to expand to a full-fledged fashion line, which will be based on the brand’s iconic sportswear line.

The collection consists of 37 men’s and 34 women’s styles with adjusted seams and openings for easy dressing (both for individuals and caretakers), magnetic and Velcro closures, magnetic flies on pants, and adjusted leg openings to accommodate leg braces and orthotics.

“Inclusivity and democratisation of fashion have always been at the core of my brand’s DNA,” designer Tommy Hilfiger said in a press release.

“These collections continue to build on that vision, empowering the differently abled community. It developed the adult lines following the incredible response to the children’s collection.”
