Say Goodbye To Your Animal Print Because Everyone’s Turned Tonal

Wearing the trend is surprisingly easy

If there’s one place you’re guaranteed to spot a trend before any other, it’s the streets of Copenhagen Fashion Week. The Scandi style set singlehandedly cemented the return of the thong (which now comes in a heeled version) last year, wearing the shoe with pastels and leopard print. Fast-forward to 2019 and a new trend has emerged – thankfully, it’s a lot easier to pull off than your pair of Havaianas.

Tonal dressing – dressing from head-to-toe in multiple shades of the same colour (or similar) or wearing the same exact hue from top to bottom – has fast become one of the season’s most spotted trends, popping up on the runway, streets and, of course, our Instagram feeds.

The most favoured shade we’ve seen so far is that of beige and neutrals, think trench coats, tailored beige pants and darker brown accessories to match. Below, see the trend at CFW and then shop it for yourself.
