If there’s one thing that has been lacking on our self-isolation Netflix watchlist, it’s undoubtedly the presence of a good quality (and by that, we mean borderline trashy) reality show about love. With the Australian season of Married At First Sight ending, and the wait for the next season of Love Is Blind still ongoing, we’ve been holding out for a hero to save us from this TV dating drama drought.

Thankfully, Netflix is here to save us once again, announcing a new Love Island– style reality show called Too Hot To Handle. The show will see ten singles looking for love from around the world, put all together in a villa. The twist? The contestants won’t be able to touch each other, with the aim of forming deeper emotional connections without the influence of physical contact. We’ve already grabbed a sneak-peak into how the contestants deal with this challenge in the trailer above, and as you can imagine, there’s a lot of rule-breaking going on!

We know what you’re thinking. Too Hot To Handle is like the wonderful love child of Love Is Blind and Love Island. But what would a reality dating show be without a cash prize? A cool $100,000 is up for grabs, but if anyone slips up, the prize money decreases.

“10 young, hot singles from around the world come together in a seaside paradise for what they think will be the most exotic and erotic summer of their lives — but there’s a twist,” reads the official synopsis.

“These committment-phobes who love a casual hook-up, will have to give up all hanky panky for the entire retreat if they want to win the $100,000 grand prize.”

“No kissing, no heavy petting, and no self-gratification of any kind. With every slip, the prize money goes down. In this luxury no-bone zone, will the serial singletons be able to form deeper emotional connections? Or will the temptation simply be too hot to handle?”

If you’re bored in the house and you’re in the house bored, the good news is you don’t have to wait much longer to get your fix, with the show available to stream on Netflix on April 17th. That’s in two days – guys!
