Trump Says He Would Beat Oprah In The US Presidency Run

Over to you, Oprah

ICYMI, pretty much everyone in the world wants Oprah to run for President of the US in 2020 – including Trump.

The current President today announced that he not only thinks running against Oprah would be “a lot of fun,” but that he’d also beat her.

Trump, speaking with reporters during a White House meeting today, said in response to a question: “Yeah, I’ll beat Oprah. Oprah would be a lot of fun.”

“I know her very well,” he continued. “I like Oprah. I don’t think she’s going to run.”

Naturally, Twitter had quite a bit to say about Trump’s confident stance.

Following her inspirational Golden Globes speech, ‘Oprah 2020’ started trending on Twitter, as people wondered (and hoped) the star had plans on running for presidency in the next US election.

The rumour mill then went into overdrive when CNN reported that sources close to the 63-year-old said she is “actively thinking” about challenging Trump.

Some of Winfrey’s confidants have been privately urging her to run,” the article reads.

However, when asked directly whether she has any plans to campaign for the top job yesterday, Oprah responded:  “I don’t — I don’t,” Bloomberg reports.

Whether she’s telling the truth or trying to throw us off the scent, only time will tell.
