Oh, and did we mention the beach?
Below, the best things to see and eat while in Tulum.
Where to stay
There's an abundance of beautiful places along the beach strip, but Dune Boutique Hotel, which is smaller and more intimate than a lot of the resorts, is situated an easy walk (or bike ride) from the best restaurants and shops along the beachfront and seems a lot more personal and authentic than its neighbouring hotels. The only issue is deciding which sun lounger to spend the day on.
What to do
A visit to the cenotes, snorkelling with sea turtles, wandering through the ruins and checking out Pablo Escobar's mansion are all must-dos while in Tulum. A word of warning: Getting the perfect Insta-shot isn't easy when it's 30+ degrees.

What to eat
Despite its small size, Tulum has an abundance of incredible eateries. It's up to you to avoid filling up on cevice and guac by the ocean during the day so you can fit dinner in. Add Gitano, Hartwood and Ocumare to your must-visit list.
