Prepare yourselves (and your credit cards): after what feels like years of anticipation, Amazon is finally set to open in Australia this week.
The long-awaited news comes after an internal email from Amazon to its Australian sellers was leaked to LifeHacker. The email asks sellers to prepare for a 2pm Thursday November 23 (tomorrow!) “internal testing phase with a small number of customers.”
“As your products will be able to be purchased, please make sure your pricing and stock is up to date,” it reads.
There’s wide speculation that means Amazon will be open to everyone just in time for online shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
