Nine News presenter Amber Sherlock has responded after a video was leaked to the media which saw her blasting a colleague over their clashing outfits.
“Live TV can be a pretty stressful beast, at times,” the veteran newsreader explained to Nine Honey.
“It’s never much fun rocking up to work or to a party in the same outfit as one of your colleagues or friends. I probably overreacted with the pressure of reading a live news bulletin.”
The off-air footage was leaked to Mumbrella, which see’s Nine’s afternoon news host Amber Sherlock, sports reporter Julie Snook and psychologist Sandy Rea preparing for a segment and all wearing white.
“I need Julie to put a jacket on because we’re all in white,” Sherlock began.
“I asked her before we came on – Julie, you need to put a jacket on.”
“I’m sorry, I’ve been flat out,” apologised Snook, as she tries to see if somebody can find her a spare jacket.
The exchange continues back and forth, before finally seeing the segment go to air with Snook wearing a black jacket.
Snook has also responded to the footage, making made light of the awkward exchange revealing, “Amber and I just really love white!”
“Amber and I are good friends and I really enjoy working with her, News is a fast moving environment and sometimes these things happen.”
