A devastating blaze has torn through an 84-story high-rise tower in Dubai in theUnited Arab Emirates.
CNN reports that the fire at Torch Tower begun in the early hours of Friday morning. Firefighters spent around two hours battling the fire, which was put out by around 3.30am.
“No injuries have been reported so far in the Torch Tower fire incident,” the government of Dubai announced in a Tweet.
The Torch Tower was also the site of a fire in 2015.
Dubai’s official media office also posted on Twitter that “Cooling operations are underway”.
Hundreds of residents living in the skyscraper were evacuated, ABC reports.
A number of videos of the shocking blaze have emerged on Twitter depicting enormous flames and falling debris.
The news comes just month after the deadly Grenfell Tower fire in London in June.
