Did You Spot This Sneaky Harry Potter Reference In The ‘Beauty And The Beast’ Clip?

Emma Watson’s role as Belle in the new Beauty and the Beast film has everyone talking, but this week, it’s about a link back to her Harry Potter days.

Disney recently released a new clip of Belle singing “Little Town”, and we really start getting a sense of how she will fit into the role.

But people aren’t paying attention to her singing. Instead, they noticed a quick exchange between her and Monsieur Jean in the town, which seems awfully familiar…

You can find it around the 23 second mark, where Belle asks, “Have you lost something again?”

And Monsieur Jean replies, “I believe I have. Problem is I can’t remember what!”

An almost word-for-word exchange happened in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, when Hermione asks Neville Longbottom about his Remembrall which he received in the post. 

Neville replies, “The only problem is, I can’t remember what I’ve forgotten.”
