While every day feels like International Women’s Day at marie claire, March 8 is officially recognised as IWD across the globe. On Thursday, women came out in force to celebrate our social, economic, cultural and political achievements and to push for gender parity.
Our favourite formidable women spent the day spreading inspirational messages and paying tribute to the kick-ass women in their life.
Here’s our round-up of celebrity Instagrams this International Women’s Day.

Globally women make up just 23% of national parliamentarians, 26% of news media leaders, 27% of judges, 15% of corporate board members and 24% of senior managers worldwide. Let’s #pushforprogress and achieve equality. My speech this #IWD2018– JG https://t.co/byVQIJZdGJ
