Ivanka “I try to stay out of politics” Trump made headlines over the weekend when she stepped in to take her father’s place at the G20 summit.
Absences from the summit are generally covered by high-ranking state officials, and certainly not by family members.
The First Daughter sat with world leaders, such as UK Prime Minister Theresa May and Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, with photos quickly sparking worldwide debate.
Now, Trump has supported Ivanka’s participation in the meeting, with a tweet insulting Hillary Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea.
“If Chelsea Clinton were asked to hold the seat for her mother, as her mother gave our country away, the Fake News would say CHELSEA FOR PRES!” he tweeted on Monday.
Chelsea quickly responded, writing: “It would never have occurred to my mother or my father to ask me.”
Others shared hilarious posts to Twitter about Ivanka’s presence in the meeting, writing: “it’s not take your child to work day.”
