The Duke and (now heavily pregnant) Duchess of Cambridge have embarked on their royal tour of Sweden and Norway, delivering us countless photo opps and a private jet’s worth of gorgeous outfits (from Kate Middleton at any rate… Prince William, not so much).
But the best by far came at a reception dinner at the British Ambassador to Sweden’s residence, because – wait for it – not only was it a meeting of British and Swedish princes and princesses, the new reigning queen of Hollywood was there: Swedish national Alicia Vikander, wife to royally attractive Michael Fassbender and defender of all that is good on our screens.
Sadly, Fassbender didn’t seem to be in attendance – Vikander was escorted by Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven – but let’s all just take a moment to reflect on what Kate Middleton and Alicia Vikander might have discussed at dinner. Has the Duchess seen The Danish Girl? Is she a Tomb Raider fan? To have been a fly on that wall.
