Following the terror bombing at Ariana Grande’s Manchester Arena concert on Monday night, celebrities tributes poured in for the victims, their families and to Ariana, who fled the U.K. straight after the incident saying she was “broken.”
Kim Kardashian was one of the many to post about the horrific attack, which left 22 dead and 59 injured, however, the photo accompanying her message received huge backlash worldwide.
The reality TV star posted a photo of herself, Kendall Jenner and Ariana partying at a club, with the message “I’m praying for everyone in Manchester. This is truly so senseless & heartbreaking. I can’t imagine the fear and agony these parents must be going through searching for their kids.”
“Concerts are supposed to be a place where u can let loose and have fun. It’s so scary to not feel safe in this world. My heart goes out to @arianagrande I love you,” she finished.
While her words were touching, fans immediately fired up over the fact that the three women were pictured partying and smiling, saying, “How is this picture relevant?” and “This picture shows no compassion.”
Following the backlash, the mother-of-two deleted the photo.
She left her two Twitter posts, which read, “I can’t imagine the fear and agony these parents must be going through searching for their kids,” and, “I’m praying for everyone in Manchester. This is truly so senseless & heartbreaking.”
Many other celebrities took to social media to share their messages of love and support to those affected.
