Over the past month, Matty J has been gracing our screens as the toned and tanned male 22 women fight for on The Bachelor.
While we’re well aware Matty has a bit of TV experience (almost winning Georgia Love’s heart on last season of The Bachelorette), we certainly didn’t know that back in 2009, at the age of 22, and with a lot more hair, Matty was on a tampon ad.
The Kotex U ad shows a younger Matty J lounging with a woman and asking her what she’d take to a desert island.
The woman replies: “Right, my music, a tent, a few clothes, plenty of fluids and I’d need you for protection.”
Matty told Women’s Day that his lucky lady – Flo? Laura? Elise? Tara? – doesn’t know about the ad, either.
“I don’t think she is aware of it, so when she reads this it will be a little bit enlightening for her!” he said.
