Megan Gale has opened up about how her miscarriage last year has changed the way she views her new pregnancy.
The model, who has a 2-year-old son with her AFL footballer partner Shaun Hampson, says that despite being in the second trimester she still feels an “underlying worry”.
“Going into this pregnancy, even when we were trying, it was just so daunting,” Megan told Show and Tell’s Monty Dimond.
“With River I didn’t really even think about anything going wrong.”
“This time it’s been, ‘Is it growing enough?’ Before every scan it was, ‘Is the heartbeat going to be there?’ ‘Am I going to get that bad news again?'”
The 41-year-old first opened up about her miscarriage in January of this year, telling InStyle, “I can’t put my finger on it – there was no physical change or a sign or symptom…[I wondered] if I was being overprotective and paranoid, or if something was wrong.”
She then went on to say that her specialist did an internal ultrasound before breaking the news, “He was quiet, and then he just said, ‘I’m so sorry, it’s gone.'”
