Touching Never-Before-Seen Letters Written By Princess Diana To Go To Auction

She reveals Harry's cheeky side

Princess Dianaโ€™s private letters are set to hit the auction block at Cheffins auction house on January 5 as part of a collection of royal pieces including signed Christmas cards from Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip and Prince Charles, as well as pieces of cake from their weddings and never-before-seen pictures.

In the never-before-seen letters, Princess Diana speaks of the close bond she shares with her two sons, Prince William and Harry โ€“ and she even discusses Harryโ€™s cheeky behavior.

                                                                          

One note, written to Buckingham Palace steward Cyril Dickman was written just after the birth of Prince Harry when the princess was just 23.

โ€œDear Cyril, it was so kind of you to have sent us such a lovely card, on the arrival of our small son โ€“ we were both greatly touched by your thoughtfulness and enormously appreciated it.โ€

โ€œWilliam adores his little brother and spends the entire time swamping Harry with an endless supply of hugs and kisses, hardly letting the parents near!โ€

โ€œThe reaction to one tiny personโ€™s birth has totally overwhelmed us and I can hardly breathe for the mass of flowers that are arriving here! This is just to say a big thank you, Cyril. For thinking of us at this particularly happy time, with lots of love, from Diana.โ€

In another letter dated October 17, 1992, written to Dickman, who served as palace steward for more than 50 years, Diana reveals sings of Prince Harryโ€™s mischievous behavior at Ludgrove School in Berkshire.

โ€œThe boys are well and enjoying boarding school a lot, although Harry is constantly in trouble!โ€

The letters are estimated to be valued at around $25,000.
