The fictional town of Hawkins will have a very special arrival in Stranger Things season three: Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke’s daughter, model and actress Maya Hawke.
The 19-year-old has just been cast in season three of the Netflix hit series, in the role of an “alternative girl” named Robin. Variety reports that Robin “is bored with her mundane day job [and] seeks excitement in her life and gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers a dark secret.”

This isn’t the first time Hawke has followed in her mother’s footsteps – she made her acting debut in 2017 when she starred as Jo March in the BBC’s adaptation of Little Women. Mum Uma Thurman took to Instagram to congratulate her daughter on her “wit and empathy and truth” in the role.
