Taking a page from Blake Lively and Chrissy Teigen, experts in the troll-your-husband game, Victoria Beckham has taken to the gentle digs to celebrate her husband, David Beckham’s, 46th birthday.
In an Instagram post on May 2, Victoria joked about her husband’s age, particularly the age difference between them.
“Looks like you’re catching me up!!,” Victoria wrote in the tribute to David. “To a very special husband and the most incredible daddy x Happy birthday, we all love you so so much x @davidbeckham x.”
Only a year younger than Victoria, who turned 47 on April 17, David took the brunt of loving ribbing by his wife, which saw her post another light troll of her husband of nearly 22 years.
“Birthday boy @davidbeckham with his @intermiamicf team mates!!😂,” she wrote, alongside a photo of David with balloon versions of players from his Major League Soccer team, Inter Miami CF. “X Happy Birthday!!! 🎉🎂🎊🎈”
“But hang on, is this one supposed to actually be @davidbeckham,” she wrote alongside a close-up video of one of a balloon man. Last year, the couple celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary with some oh-so-sweet throwback photos.
The happy couple share four children together—Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and daughter Harper Seven—and tied the knot on July 4, 1999 in Ireland.
Their oldest son Brooklyn is currently engaged to actress Nicola Peltz, and shared some throwbacks of himself as a baby, with his father. “Happy birthday to the most incredible dad,” he wrote in the caption. “I hope to be the amazing dad you are today xx I love you so much.”
As for Romeo, he posted a recent photo of himself and David singing together at an intimate beach gathering for Victoria’s recent birthday. “Happy birthday dad !!!! I love u so much and hope you have the most amazing day,” he wrote.
“Happy Birthday mama ❤️ we love you so much and you deserve the best day ever.. To the best mummy and wife happy 47th 🙃 birthday @victoriabeckham ( I’m still 45 btw ) 😆 we Love u x @brooklynbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven,” he wrote.
