Victoria Beckham Just Launched An Exclusive 70s-Esque Capsule Guaranteed To Spice Up Your Life

We chat with the designer about the collection, sustainability and feeling fabulous.

It’s 2008, low-rise jeans are on the out, Adele’s album 19 has dropped and the Return of The Spice Girls tour is sweeping the globe. But in a small corner of the UK, Posh Spice (AKA Victoria Beckham) is busily developing a collection of sophisticated, modern minimalist garments for every part of a woman’s life.

That collection would later become the singer’s self titled eponymous label, now renowned and celebrated for its distinctive, luxurious pieces that are an extension of Beckham’s own personal style and craftsmanship.

While 2021 has been a busy year for the pop star turned designer—her Fall, Resort and Spring collections were released to critical acclaim and her makeup line, Victoria Beckham Beauty, has skyrocketed—Beckham shows no sign of slowing down.

Teaming up with luxury online retailer THE OUTNET, Beckham is launching an exclusive capsule of 25 pieces created using existing fabrics from their archives, reworked into a series of new silhouettes inspired by the brands signature pieces.

The exclusive edit offers an effortless approach to wardrobing the dynamic woman, with a mix of form-fitting dresses, modern knitwear and classic tailoring featuring the finest materials.

In honour of the launch, we were given the exclusive opportunity to speak to Victoria Beckham herself about the collection, sustainability and feeling fabulous.

“The sustainable element was hugely inspiring. It was a chance to celebrate all the Victoria Beckham signatures in a new way and see some of our archive fabrics in a new light. I’m always drawn to the 70s and you’ll see subtle nods to that in some of the silhouettes and colour palette too”, the famed designer commented.

Bold, intuitive and refined would be the words we use to describe these lush pieces. This is a testament to Beckham’s timeless constructions who designs with the ethos of sustainability in mind.

“Our pieces are designed to become staples in our customer’s wardrobes. We work with the very best materials and factories to ensure that everything we create is of the highest quality and made to last.”

“The majority of this collection was created using existing fabrics from our archive. They’ve been carefully selected and repurposed. We’ve reimagined some of our signature silhouettes with new design details – it’s a celebration of our past with a future thinking approach.”

So, why now partner with THE OUTNET?

“This was an opportunity for us to reuse and repurpose excess fabric in a new, exciting way. We’re always looking for ways in which we can be more responsible with our collections and creatively challenge ourselves. This collaboration with THE OUTNET allowed us to do both of those things”.

Launched today, the capsule is solution driven with a blend of wardrobe staples and fashion forward items that you’ll reach for again and again. Truly a spirit lifting collection perfect for our reemergence into society.

Speaking on her own go-to garments that always makes her feel fabulous, in true Victoria Beckham style responded with “a strong blazer and a high heel. You feel instantly put together, even if you’re only wearing jeans and a T-shirt”.

The collection is available online at THE OUTNET.
