Now, a bride in England is going viral for finding a dress everyone wants to wear — for both herself and her bridesmaids.
Eve Paterson, who was married in Cambridge this month, opted for a wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses with pockets, which is now going viral thanks to the serious ingenuity of it all.
One of Paterson’s bridesmaids, Nell Goddard, posted a photo of the pocket dresses to Twitter, with all the women standing in a seriously powerful hands-in-pockets stance — showing off their newfound bagless freedom.
“My friend got married last month and her dress and the bridesmaids’ dresses ALL HAD POCKETS,” Goddard wrote, adding: “And yes, we did use them for storing snacks, thank you for asking.”
The wedding dress, as revealed by Paterson to The Independent, was designed by David’s Bridal and came with the pockets already built in. The bridesmaids dresses are from KF Bridal, and cost an extra $9 for pockets to be added. A no brainer, according to Goddard.
"When you have them custom made-to-measure, it only cost £5 extra to add pockets, so really it just felt like a no-brainer!" she told the news outlet.
So, if you ever wondered what turns a wedding viral in 2019, it’s pockets. Not much to ask, is it, wedding dress designers?
