What Is Yellowjackets About?
Yellowjackets follows a group of five friends and soccer teammates over two time periods—the late 90s and now—exploring how their actions as a teen impact their lives now. While this premise may seem overdone at first, it’s anything but.
In 1996, Shauna, Taissa, Jackie, Natalie and Misty were stranded in the Canadian wilderness after their plane crashed on the way to a national tournament. The girls are left to survive on their own for nineteen months.
The series chronicles the extreme lengths the girls went to to stay alive and the consequences of their actions as adults.
The show is dark, gripping and will have you hooked from the first episode. This isn’t light watching and we love every second of it.
Who Stars In Yellowjackets?
If the plot of Yellowjackets doesn’t have you convinced, then the iconic all star ensemble will.
The series stars some of our favourite 90s leading ladies, including Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, Melanie Lynskey and Tawny Cypress.
Newcomers including Sophie Nélisse (who you’ll recognise from The Book Thief), Ella Purnell, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher and Samantha Hanratty round out the show as the younger versions of the cast.
