Prince Louis’ Christening is fast-approaching, taking place on July 9 at St James’ chapel and set to be overseen by The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
The focus of the impending ceremony isn’t the location however, with attention now turning to the identity of the two-month-old’s god parents.
While the prince’s god parents will have been selected by now, their identity is strictly under wraps, with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge expected to announce their picks on the big day.
Luckily for, well, everyone, the predictions are public – and they are pretty revealing.
What are the predictions for Prince Louis’ god parents?
- Tiggy Legge-Bourke 2/1
- Miguel Head 2/1
- Laura Lopes 3/1
- Rebecca Priestley 4/1
- David Jardine-Patterson 5/1
- Hugh van Cutsem JR 5/1
- Lady Jane Fellowes 6/1
- Lady Sarah McQuodale 6/1
- Captain Mark Dyer 6/1
- Princess Beatrice 7/1
It seems that the most likely contenders for god parents are people that have worked in the royal household, with Miguel Head (2/1) being Prince William’s private secretary and companion, leaving his post this month, and Tiggy Legge-Bourke (2/1) starting off as an assistant to Charles before becoming a nanny to both William and Harry after Princess Diana’s death.
Next up is Laura Lopes, daughter of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall (3/1) and Rebecca Priestly, former private secretary to Kate Middleton (4/1).
While Meghan Markle was at one point considered a potential candidate, she was noticeably absent from the list, as were old friends of the couple – Catriona Foyle, Alice Avenel, Alicia Stoddard and Hannah Carter – pals of Kate’s from Malborough College, and Tom Sutton (a school friend of William) and his wife Harriet.
It’s important to remember however that the newborn won’t just be limited to two god parents, with royal babies seeming to get more than most – four-year-old Prince George boasts seven god parents and Princess Charlotte has five.
Who are Prince George’s god parents?
William van Cutsem
Who are Princess Charlotte’s god parents?

Only time will tell who the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will select as the god parents for their new baby – we can’t wait to find out.
