After months of watching as celebrities battled it out to win money for their chosen charities in gruelling challenges on Celebrity Apprentice, the grand finale of the reality series is finally upon us—and considering the last two standing are top contenders Shaynna Blaze and Ross Noble, it looks like Lord Sugar has a tough decision ahead.
The winner, who is set to be named on June 15 following the eliminations of makeup artist Martha Kalifatidis and former AFL star Josh Gibson, was actually crowned back in October 2020, when the series wrapped filming, which has led to publications like the Daily Mail alleging the winner was “leaked.”
As always, many have begun to guess just which celebrity will be named the series most impressive business mind. If Sportsbet is anything to go by, interior design expert and The Block judge is tipped to take home the top spot, with the comedian coming in at a close second.
Prior to the reality series hitting our screens, Blaze spoke with WHO about what self-made billionaire boss Lord Alan Sugar was really like when it came to those tense Boardroom scenes (and surprisingly, his off-screen persona is quite different from his tough exterior).
“Don’t tell anyone, he’s actually a sweetheart,” she told the publication. “I actually found him to be the nicest person, he was great.”
“Look, I’ve got to say with what he’s achieved in his life and where he is, he’s pretty down to earth and he says it like it is. As everything with I do, I do a truth bomb and a lot of people don’t like that so I totally respect him for it,” the interior design expert added.
The winner of Celebrity Apprentice will take home a cash prize of $100,000 for their chosen charity.
Blaze, who has already won an impressive amount for her charity, has opted to support Voice of Change, a not-for-profit organisation that uses the arts as a platform that invokes movement against domestic violence.
Speaking with 9Entertainment, Blaze opened up about the incredible initiative, saying: “It’s actually my charity that I’ve created with a few people. It’s about giving a voice through the arts to victims of domestic violence.”
Through such mediums as film, music, art, and theatre, Voice of Change looks to amplify and give voice to survivors of domestic and family violence.
Noble looked to his own experiences to choose a charity, turning to the Australian Red Cross after the organisation greatly helped him and his family following the Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria in 2009.
“Our house was completely destroyed and we lost all of our stuff, there was a huge amount of tragedy that happened around us and a lot of our community were affected in some really terrible ways,” Noble told 9Now.
“They gave me a lovely pair of boots that I was able to walk around the smouldering remains of my house with, so I’m doing it to buy other people boots, let’s hope they never need it,” he smiled.
The Celebrity Apprentice finale airs on Channel Nine on June 15 at 7:30 pm.
