The wife of a Queensland man who died after collapsing from heatstroke on January 13 has welcomed the couple's first child.
Matthew Hall was dirt bike riding when in the Beerburrum State Forrest when he became unwell and by the time paramedics reached him he had a temperature of 42 degrees.
His organs began to shut down and his condition deteriorated as the rescue helicopter landed and he passed away, reported Seven News.
Mr Hall left behind his heavily pregnant wife Emily Hall, who described him s her "best friend and soul mate.”
“I can’t fathom life without him but my strength is knowing he will live through his son.
“I will love him enough for the two of us and I will make sure I do Matt proud and be the best mum to him.”
Ms Hall welcomed the couple's first child over the weekend, with her cousin, Isabella Longginou, sharing a photo of the new mum and bub on Instagram.
"LOVE NEVER FAILS 1 Corinthians 13:8 ❤️ So proud of my Em for being the strongest woman I know!! Welcome to the world little man. You have brought so much joy already Harry Hall," she captioned the photo.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money for the new mum and bub and has already received more than $100,000 in donations.
