Woman Found Dead In Shower Of Melbourne Hotel After Buck’s Party

The death is being treated as suspicious

A young woman, believed to be in her 20s, has been found dead in the shower of a Melbourne hotel room.

Four men were taken into custody following the discovery, all of whom were in the city for a buck’s party.

The group of around 11 men hired three rooms at the Oaks hotel in Melbourne’s CBD. After checking in, the men went to the football before heading out to a nightclub on King Street, Fairfax Media reports.

Emergency services were called to the hotel at 8am on Sunday morning after one of the men found the woman fully clothed and unconscious in the shower.

Four of the group were then taken into custody but were released overnight, the rest have returned home.

It’s still unclear how the men knew the woman and her death is being treated as suspicious.

Police have released details of what the woman was wearing in hopes someone will be able to identify her: a black long-sleeve shirt, blue denim shorts and white sneakers.

Members of the group declined to tell reporters who the dead woman was or how they met her, but did say they had been “stitched up.”
