Domestically Abused Woman Reveals Texts She Used To Get From Husband

"I tried to go to the police in the middle of the night, he tailgated me the whole way."

A woman who was physically, sexually and emotionally abused by her ex-husband has revealed the texts he used to regularly send her.

Posting screenshots of the messages to Imur, a photo sharing site, the woman who goes by the name ‘KrissyKross’, said her decision to share the story more than three years after ending her marriage was to help her to find closure.

She wrote that her now ex-husband Adam would sit outside her work for her entire shift, accuse her of cheating and wearing clothes to show off her body, abuse her in an array of ways – including biting her so badly the mark stayed for months – and that she finally found the strength to leave when he hurt her dog and kitten.

“I wanted to go out with two (female) coworkers for my 23rd birthday. I told him weeks in advance and when the time came he punched me in the face and slammed my head into the floor, only leaving me alone because he had duty that evening,” she said.

On another occasion, she says, “I tried to go to the police in the middle of the night, he tailgated me the whole way.”

She says she finally found the strength to leave when her husband hurt her dog and kitten. She packed her things – including her pets – hid at a friend’s house and went to the police.

The only time she had seen him since is in court. He was charged with two felonies and misdemeanours.

The story has now been viewed over 600,000 times, with people praising her for being so brave and strong.
