What is the plot of 1923?
According to the official synopsis: “1923 focuses on the Dutton family’s next two generations as they struggle to survive historic drought, lawlessness and prohibition, and an epidemic of cattle theft; all battled beneath the cloud of Montana’s great depression, which preceded the nation by almost a decade.”
1883 followed the ancestors of sixth-generation ranch owner John Dutton as they trek towards Montana in search of a more promising future, one that they hope ends with land-ownership. But unsurprisingly, that doesn't come without a fight. Matriarch Margaret Dutton leads the family alongside husband John as they spark, and become victims of conflict in their quest to claim ownership of Montana's wild landscape.
Much like Yellowstone, we're expecting to see plenty of drama, warfare and, of course, horseback riding.
Who is in the cast of 1923?
On the 20th June 2022, Deadline announced that Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford will also be joining the line-up, but again, nothing is yet known of their exact roles.
1923 is executive produced by Sheridan, John Linson, Art Linson, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari and Ben Richardson.
The show will jump 40 years into the future, following the Yellowstone prequel, 1883 which followed the Dutton family as they embarked on a journey west, before ultimately settling in Montana.
When will 1923 be released?
