Apparently, we’ve been applying our glitter nail polish incorrectly since the day we opened our first at-home kit.
If you’ve ever wondered why you can’t seem to coat your perfectly manicured fingers with enough glitter from the bottle of polish, we’re here to help. Or rather, YouTube blogger Kelli Marissa is here to help.
Kelli’s tutorial of the “correct” way to apply glitter nail polish went absolutely bonkers on the web, as millions of people around the world suddenly realised the mistake they’d been making this entire time.
Rather than simply swiping the polish on with the brush and ending up with a patchy mess, Kelli suggests you begin by apply a clear base coat. Then, she says you should paint the polish onto a regular cosmetics sponge and then dab it onto your primed nail.
Simple, yet so effective.
