Anya Taylor-Joy Has Just Been Announced As Dior’s Latest Brand Ambassador

The perfect pair

In what felt like a long-time coming, Anya Taylor-Joy has been announced as Dior’s latest global brand ambassador. Having sported the French fashion house’s creations since forever, the Last Night In Soho actress’ latest venture will see her represent both the brand’s fashion and beauty lines.

Of course, this announcement comes as no surprise to fans of Taylor-Joy—or anyone whose merely glanced at her Instagram—since the 26-year-old has actively donned the famous brand to just about every award show in the past year, thanks to her stylist Law Roach, where she walked the red carpet at the Golden Globes, the Venice Film Festival and the Emmy Awards.

Sharing the exciting news on Instagram, the French fashion house posted a photo of Taylor-Joy in one of her most memorable ensembles by the brand. In their caption, they wrote: “Dior is delighted to announce Anya Taylor-Joy as new global ambassador for fashion and make-up,”

It continued: “Seen wearing several house creations in recent months, for the 26th Critics’ Choice Awards she epitomised modern elegance in a draped and macramé-detailed tulle gown from the Dior couture spring/summer 2020 collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri.”

For those who’ve been living under a rock, the past year has been rather monumental for Taylor-Joy, who secured herself nominations—and a few wins—for her role in Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit and has seen her land serious acting roles that may very well secure her future accolades. But of course, her relationship with Dior and Maria Grazia Chiuri, is easily her most impressive achievement to date.

The latest recruit for Dior, Taylor-Joy joins British tennis champion Emma Raducanu as another face for the house, one week after the 18-year-old sports star’s recruitment.

“The 18-year-old British tennis virtuoso—winner of the 2021 US Open—has already shaken up the codes with her unique game style, multicultural personality, authenticity and extraordinary career,” as per a statement from the fashion house.
