While every bride’s dress is special, when Kathryn Boyd walked down the aisle towards actor Josh Brolin at their dreamy ceremony in North Carolina, hers had an extra special meaning.
The dress was not only self-designed, which was a lifelong dream of hers, but was also made from the lace off her mother’s wedding dress.
“A lifelong dream to design my own wedding dress, and yesterday that dream came true,” she wrote on Instagram.
“My design, my mother’s lace, sewed together and crafted by the most brilliant Christie Hudson Couture. Thank you Chris for helping me make this dress my most favorite garment I’ve ever seen. You are a master.”
The stunning gown featured a classic spaghetti strap design with a plunging back. The lace was then overlaid over her shoulders and gathered at the back, spilling down into a flowing train.
