Sadly, it seems that the pair have called it quits on any kind of romantic relationship.
Speaking to 9Entertainment, Sam said that he and Angelique are now "just friends" but will continue to stay in touch.
"We've been talking every now and then and thankfully we're on really good terms," Sam told the outlet.
"We had a romantic side and that didn't work out but the way I see it is even though that didn't work out we're still such good friends. And that just shows the level of commitment we both had to each other," he continued.
While she hasn't appeared to have given any official interviews post-elimination, Angelique took to her Instagram to share a heartfelt gratitude message to Sam.
"I thank you @sammitchell__ for teaching me how to be more vulnerable, to be more in touch with myself and my true feelings rather than just supressing or denying how I feel - you've helped me to grow into a much more vulnerable and softer person and I will forever thankyou for that Sammy ✨❤️🦋," she wrote.
Sam was quick to comment on her kind words, replying: "You are actually amazing! You can be so proud about everything, don't let anyone try to put out your light. You've helped me immensely and I can't even begin to explain how amazing you are. FLY HIGH ANGEL ALIEN 👽."
Speaking to TV WEEK about their relationship both on and off the show, Sam said he "couldn't have asked for anybody better."
"She was the best partner. I love her so much. I'm just very happy that we got spend time together because she really made me shine and I felt like I made her do the exact same thing. We just had so much fun together on the whole experience."
