My Approach To Beauty…
Has always been about building layers from within. I’m really into a holistic approach: diet, acupuncture, a hot bath or infrared sauna, and using the outdoors as medicine.
My Family And I Live In New York [Since Moving There In Early 2022]..
…So, we make sure we have those moments where we balance out the craziness of the city with the calm of the beach or the snow. We’re all just so happy when we have that balance of nature and ocean.
My Beauty Style Is..
’90S, for sure. I still use Pinterest and have a whole board of ’90s hair and makeup references I regularly pull from for photoshoots or red carpet ideas.
I Try To Keep It..
Consistent on the red carpet. I like a centre part with a low bun at the back or a slick side part. I think it looks quite flattering, especially when the cameras are so close.
For Makeup..
If I’m going to do anything I’ll mess around with my lips. I feel it really lifts the face for the red carpet. I’ve always loved a red lip. If I could only have three makeup products they would be a bronzer, cream blush and Smith’s Rosebud Salve.
There Hasn’t Been A Kérastase Product…
…That hasn’t done exactly what it says it does. I swear by the Elixir Ultime hair oil, which I use wet or dry. I pile it on before I go to bed and wake up with silky, shiny hair. I also love how it smells – that’s very important. Every one of my friends I’ve introduced this product to hasn’t gone back.
I Always Travel With..
My own shampoo and conditioner. I [use] the Genesis strengthening collection from Kérastase. You never know what you’re going to get in a hotel.
I’m Much More Considered About..
What lives on my bathroom shelves than I used to be, maybe because I know what I like.
During The Day..
Use SPF. I recommend Emma Lewisham’s Skin Shield SPF 30 [Always read the label and follow the directions for use]. One of my biggest changes [as I age] is staying out of the sun. I used to be a real sun worshipper, but I try not to now.
In The Evening..
I always take off my makeup before bed, it’s a nonnegotiable step for me. I also do lots of moisturising, lots of water.
