A Close Look At Meghan Markle’s Wedding Day Hair And Makeup

The stunning look perfectly complemented the bride's designer wedding gown

While details regarding Meghan Markle‘s wedding day hair and makeup were scarce in the lead-up to the wedding, we’ve finally seen the royal bride and her Givenchy gown – and she looks nothing short of stunning.

Markle’s designer gown, which was designed by Claire Waight Keller for Givenchy, was perfectly complimented by natural-looking makeup and an elegant up-do letting the gown and her tiara – which was Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara – take centre stage.

Initial reports suggested Markle’s hair would be styled by Amal Clooney’s hairdresser, Miguel Perez, after he hinted about upcoming travel for a high-profile client. But it seems that’s not the case, with Markle’s gorgeous centre-parted style created by Serge Normant, who has worked with stars including Julia Roberts and Sarah Jessica Parker.

As for her make-up, Meghan let her natural beauty – and most importantly her signature freckles – shine through with a natural, flawless foundation base, a warm blush on her cheeks, a subtle smoky eye and a soft pink lip. The look was created by her long-time friend and make-up artist Daniel Martin.

Despite rumours Meghan was going to do her make-up herself, this was not the case – however, it seems she did manage to make sure the look was still very much her.

“Every time I’d do her makeup, she’d say, ‘Can we just make sure my freckles are peeking through? I don’t want a ton of foundation,'” Markle’s former makeup-artist told Refinery29 UK. “It was more about the amount of product that went on her skin and keeping it really fresh and dewy, rather than caking it on.”
