Celebrity colourist Daniel Galvin Jr, who tends to the Royal family and celebs such as Paula Abdul and Belinda Carlisle at his London salon, shares the shades women love in the UK.
“A Victorian dusky pink is a great opportunity for seasonal change,” says Galvin Jr. “It washes out after a couple of months and won’t compromise the integrity of the hair.”
With the Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex sporting rich tones, it’s no wonder Brits are adopting opulent shades. “Clients are wanting more intense tones and neater hair,” says Galvin Jr. “They are also using the mildest products, such as a semi-permanent gloss. This is what we use on the Royal Family and clients in the salon.”
“Adding a few lighter tones to a brunette base is a nice way to introduce colour and natural movement.”
